Welcome on board! Please introduce yourself 🖐

Hi everyone,

I must have introduced myself 10 years ago, but new account, so here we go

I discovered Hype I believe in 2013 or 2014. I was an intern at a small startup and I wanted to create an onboarding for our users, introducing them to the feature of our product. It loved how intuitive Hype was; I wasn't a developer back then, so Hype was very easy for me to get into.

Fast-forward to 10 years later, I now live in Barcelona, Spain, after a few years in Bali. I've learned code to build an iOS app: Kuri, a climate-friendly cooking & meal planning app. It's going pretty well, all things considered!

Now, I've always wanted to build a game. I'm circling back to this idea as I think I have a decent concept for a game that I could embed into my cooking app. Something related to sustainable farming, learning how to become self-sufficient, while also creating a nice "RPG" experience for my users who are into mobile games.

So I'm back here, trying to figure out if/how I could build something nice to add to my app

Really impressed by the contributions made by this community over the years

Cheers!

Hi All.

I have just set up a new accounts so thought I would say Hi!

I am Stefan Hannan, an English engineering consultant in acoustics (physics of sound) and I absolutely love Hype. I have to say it is one of the most enjoyable bits of software to use, right up there with Logic Pro for me.

I started using it for my technical presentations, as I could create custom interactive and animated content so easily and then store it on adore and access t on any device! I thought that was absolutely magic, this was in about 2013/2014. Everyone in the company I worked for used Powerpoint or Keynote, so I was a Lone Ranger in the regard and I was right, online content was/is the future.

Hype got me very interested in programming for the web, and whilst I am just a basic amateur, I enjoy it immensely. The satisfaction I get from just creating a simple custom Javascript function, and it actually working, is just fantastic! It really has become a passion of mine, and my creativity is through the roof.

It has been a steep learning curve as I don't have a programming background, so learning what Hype can and can't do, and exactly what Hype is doing in the background has taken some time. But now I have more understanding of the various programming languages, and what the hype elements actually represent, and how they can be manipulated using the head and inner HTML, I can use Hype as it is intended, and it is so powerful!

I recently made this basic online calculator in Hype, which my first foray into engineering maths in Javascript. I hope to build up library of more complex online calculation tools relevant to my business.

This tool calculates the A-weighted logarithmic summation, of the spectrum of sound (octave band) inputted into the boxes.

I am sure I will need some guidance with more complex tools that I am working on, and possibly may even require some paid freelance support from this network. I am especially interested in the web Audio API and creating online tools for my business tat can manipulate and filter audio.

All the best everyone and keep up the great work in being a very helpful community, and Tumult for developing and updating this software.

Cheers

Stefan

I apologise for my many typo's, I think I might have been a bit tired?!

My name is Antti Ussa and I live in Ilmajoki, Finland. My occupation is to train people to use software. I have my own little business to work in. My journey with Hype is just beginning, although I have had the software for ages. I just didn't have time to dive in to it - until now. I use Adobe Animate too, but my experiences with it have been limited too. I'm looking forward to get some inspiration out of this forum and other master-animators.

Cheers! Antti
