Well, it's not too late as this will now be on every new or updated mac. It's a big shift for apple to embrace web apps like this. They have been notoriously behind featuring the app store in my opinion. This might even lead to enable and reinforcing the feature on iPhone as users demand it more.
Tumult is already late… years late actually. They should have these tools available right now, so that developers start building their PWA with Hype.
