Push previews directly to a Apple Simulator.app device

  1. What do you want to see in Hype?

To be able to push previews directly to a Simulator.app device, via the Hype preview Menu/Button.

This would give us easy access to a true simulated device where we may not have a physical one.
AFAIK a true simulated device will be more correct in its rendering, behaviours interactions than rendered in Responsive Design Mode in the Browser.

†† You can also inspect a web page on a device running in Apple's Simulator.app using the Safari's Web Inspector.

  1. Have you found a workaround for this problem?

Push the preview to Safari.app, copy the url and paste into the simulators Safari.
Or use the Open in Simulator option once in Responsive Design Mode in the Browser

  1. Are there examples of other apps with this feature? Or, have you seen examples of this elsewhere on the web? (Please include a URL)
    N/A

  2. How high of a priority is this for you?

[ x ] Nice to Have
[ ] Important
[ ] Can't use Hype without it

††when Safari works as it should, web inspector on devices can be flaky at times and not show the data.

When you use the developer mode in Safari, one can directly sent to a simulator.

I agree it is one step more :grinning:
But you already wrote that :upside_down_face:
Didn’t see it at first

Thanks for the request! A while back browsers in simulators used to show up in Hype's browser list, but at some point Apple stopped publishing those. I think we are aware of a possible workaround and have this on the list to try.
