I came across a very odd issue. I´ve got textboxes, text is written inside the innerHTML-field. This is an example “code”:

See what happens in Chrome/Win (and only there): The
tag is displayed as an ascii-like symbol.
Any idea what happens here?

The problem is not the break tag. The problem is you have a character along with the text within the quotes. The character only shows up on PC but is not shown on Mac.

Hei Mike, your absolutely right. I can see the character in my text editor on the Mac, too. Must be a copy and paste issue - copied the text from Illustrator… Works perfectly now. I also learned from my colleague, that the correct form to set the br-tag is this way: br / Thanks a lot!! Regards, Kalle
