Knot Tying Animation

I am looking to animate the tying of a knot with Tumult Hype- has anyone any experience of this or any info - thanks

I hate to say it, but Hype does not have the tools for that kind of thing. You would need something like Adobe After Effects with the Trapcode Tao plug-in and output it as a video.
You could create a series of frames in another app such as Illustrator and display them in Hype as a sequence.
