Image Viewer/Gallery from folder full of images

How do i go about producing some sort of image viewer that can go through a folder full of images which just goes in alphabetical order of file name. Is it done with an HTML widget some how?

Eg folder /images has 50+ photos that are constantly added to with various file names.

I want to be able to have a viewer that i can just go forwards or back through them, if it wasn’t too hard then display a preview grid gallery option too. And photos are expanded to fit the window with scaling

Can you give some more details. Including, are the file names sequential or mixed. Is this just running local hd or on a server/webspace

And anything else that may be helpful.

No particular file names, just mixed names. Would be running locally.
