I'm not too familiar with Total CMS, but I assume you are referring to this?

Tumult Hype's output is pretty much just HTML driven by JavaScript, including having a JavaScript API to do Hype-specific element/scene manipulations.
Therefore, if the Total CMS has its own API that can be accessed via AJAX/XMLHTTPRequest calls (like a REST API), then there shouldn't be too much problem doing integration. However, I could not find any specific documentation about Total CMS and how it works. You may want to contact the developers and ask if the have docs on a REST API. Given some information, we might be able to help glue it all together.
