How do i stop copied symbols mirroring each other?

Whenever i copy a symbol, all the changes i make on the copied symbol mirrors on the original symbol. how do i stop this?

Select the symbol in the Resouces pane and use the Dupicate button.

Then drag the new duplicate onto the scene.
