Help. Flexible layout - scaling elements individually

Stuck on this and not quite sure how to do this. I have a background image that I want to scale ONLY when the browser WIDTH is changed. I have another image on top of the background that I want to scale ONLY when the browser HEIGHT is changed. You can see an example of this here - http://thehatefuleight.com

Have uploaded the source files here - http://flushdigital.com/index.zip, if anyone knows how to do this I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

not out of the box …
you’ve got to involve your own html5 techniques

Thanks Hans. Don’t suppose you know how or can point me in the right direction? I have no HTML5 skills other than what can be done out of the box with Hype :frowning:

I think its something people might actually be able to use often when building flexible layouts, so could be a nice tool in the Hype toolbox

Attached is a simple Hype Document. If anyone can figure this out, I will love you long long time.

independantscale.hype.zip (36.3 KB)

Updated file now includes a 3rd scenario to resize proportionally when browser width and height is resized.independantscale.hype.zip (49.9 KB)

hype won’t be the best tool to achieve sthg like this though …

Uploading…

was there supposed to be an attachment in your reply? I see “uploading…”

The dropbox link to the live example works and seems to be exactly what I wanted. Thanks a million. However, did you try to send .hype file? I can’t see how you did it otherwise :frowning: Thanks for the help!

Here’s the file: index.zip (2.6 MB)

[hype-upload failed … guess due to filesize …]
