Custom Preloader

Hi

I’ve created two hype projects. One holds the complete website the second a customer preloader.
I have done this before and embed the code of the preloader within the code for the other hype project and it worked well i.e. the preloader ran and then passed onto the website proper.
I’m having no luck this time, it was about 3 years ago I did this last. Have things changed in the process with Hype 3?

I’m not a coder.
