Maybe I'm doing something wrong here but if I would like to create a simple Symbol from items I've already animated, why does it break the position of everything, meaning I have to manually edit the animation again?
It's hard to tell from your video -- can you share your original Hype document? This might have to do with the scale of the objects or their transform origin. (But it does appear to be a bug). You can use Help > Report an Issue and include your document so we can take a look at it.
