I’m not completely new to Hype but am trying out video and audio for the first time. I inserted an MP4 video perfectly - saw the frames in the timeline.
I can’t do the same with an MP3 audio file. I just see a button being placed on the stage. Am I doing something wrong?

Please see Tumult Hype Documentation for some tips on working with Audio. When you add an audio file to the scene, an item is added to your resource library and a 'Play Audio' button is also added as a shortcut. That button just plays the audio. Once you have the audio file in your resource library, you can link up any element to play that audio file. So alternatively, you could drag the mp3 file into resource library (on the right side of the default Hype app layout) and then access it via timeline actions, mouse actions, or any other action.
