I finally got somewhere on this. It looks like you now have to click on the Gravatar link and sign-up for an acct. at Gravatar - Globally Recognized Avatars. Then go to you acct. settings at en.gravatar.com and upload a picture. Then you can come back to the Hype Forum and select your 'Gravatar".
