Animation won't play audio in iOS

I created an animated Christmas Card in Hype. The hype file contains two layouts, one for desktop web browsers and one for smartphone size. I have exported the file as an OAM widget and embedded it onto a web page.

The file is just three scenes. In the first scene, I have a button that, when pressed, begins playing an audio file and starts the animation.

At least on the desktop version it does. On the smartphone version, it will not play any audio (it’s the same OAM file!). And If I load a wide browser window it plays fine, but if I slide the browser window to a narrower width to simulate a phone screen, the animation switches to the phone layout and keeps going but the audio stops.

Any ideas?

There could be many different causes so it is hard to diagnose without seeing it. If possible could you post links to the desktop and smart version ones? Also it would be useful if you could attach a zip of your .hype file. Thanks!

Thanks, Jonathan! I actually fixed this by switching the order of the two actions assigned to that button. Instead of having the button trigger the audio to play then jump to the next scene, I switched the order of those and now it works.

Why? Who knows?!

I don’t ask why. I’m just glad it’s working as expected. I appreciate your response.
