Animated mask effect - ie mask moves but what's inside stays static

Hey folks, I am trying to recreate this effect in HYPE… i saw some posts about draggable masks, static circular masks using corner radius settings and grouping, etc. but nothing on a way to have a straightforward, main timeline-based, self run animation without use of external scripts to move a mask across the screen without also moving the image in said mask.

you've stated the current status, no further info on this topic:
move the content of the mask in opposite to the mask or try a scripted solution ...
