Add GLB file format to Tumult Hype Wordpress Plugin

I just tried a 3D demo found on this forum and sadly found a link to this page because it contains a .glb - are they, or other 3D formats, likely to be dangerous?

Not that I know of. I will add it to the list of approved file formats.

This has been updated and you should see an available update for the plugin.

Thanks for the quick work! The update doesn't show. I can see it's been updated in the last hour via the Changelog but it appears to be on the same version number - I'm guessing - ? - so WordPress is refusing to see it as needing updating.

I'll try uninstalling / reinstalling...

I didn’t bump the version so it likely silently updated.

I don't have auto-updates on for plugins so not sure how that would work but no matter, reinstalling worked. No error on glb now but it seems like I'll have to work harder to actually make the model appear :frowning:

Thanks again for the fast response

I got an error when I used the replace oam button - something like 'illegal content' so I wondered if there was another check at that point that was missing .glb. The replacement oam loaded fine in a fresh slot so not a big deal.

Is there a channel for plugin issues / bug reporting?

You're in the right spot

Can you share a sample glb file that you used? And would there ever be a situation where you'd need to also use the gltf format?

It's a pretty simple file but I don't mind sharing it. How/where to send it?
Possibly gltf. I'm playing with ThreeJS and this: Loading Models - ThreeJS Docs says it's the preferred format but it doesn't say why it's better than glb just that glb is fine too. You'd think the smaller, binary version would be preferable but I'm no expert

You can drag + drop a zip file of your Hype document into your reply (this forum supports file uploads)
