…there wasn't a thread for discussion on this forum. So, that's the reason for the creation of this new topic. The book is now available at Lulu as an ePub. Here's the link…
Is everyone OK with the new setup? 
I got a message that someone was having trouble downloading the book, and said that Lulu wasn't able to help. So, I sent a reply message. Although, I'm not sure if that message went through, as there's been no reply to my reply. Perhaps there's a really aggressive spam blocker causing problems. 
Anyway, there's a page in Lulu that shows previous orders… https://www.lulu.com/account/orders …so maybe that page has more information.
If Lulu follows their usual modus operandi, there will likely be a huge discount on books during their Black Friday sales. Except, I'm not sure if that includes ebooks. So, I was considering putting the printed version back online. Are people interested in that?

No thanks, I'm not interested in the bookEven with the typical holiday discount, the ebook version is likely to be cheaper. Yet, the printed version of the book does look nice on shelf. 
Also, I was making plans for the next Photics book, on a different but fairly related topic, which might launch in 2025, but I suppose there is a slight opportunity to bring back the printed version of A Book About Hype in 2024. So, if there's significant interest, maybe I can bring back the printed version of the book this year.
If not, maybe next year. Hopefully Hype 5 will be out by then.

Is Hype 5 going to be launching this year or anytime soon?
I've gotten a couple of inquires about the availability of “A Book About Hype”. (It's currently not available because it needs updating.) I don't know if I should update the older version of the book or if I should just wait until Hype 5 is available.
What updating does it need (at least in regards to Hype?).
As you know we don’t make specific promises, but I’d probably keep the current version for sale and then wait.
It’s not so much that Hype has changed. It’s the Internet that has changed. Also, I’ve changed. A lot was learned since 2020.
I’ve been considering a rewrite of the book for when Hype 5 launched. In that scenario, that amount of work might make sense, as there could be renewed interest in the software. With Hype 4, just look at the poll here. That’s not a lot of interest. So it then becomes a matter of waiting for Hype 5.
Although, now it sounds like Hype 5 is further away than I was expecting. Well, hopefully it’s a good update.
