Widget help - note widget

Hi,

I am trying to create a simple widget for an iBook where the learners can click on it and take notes, so basically a note widget. I cannot figure out how to be able to allow text to be inserted. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, you could make a "Content Editable" element...

• contenteditable - HTML: HyperText Markup Language | MDN

Then, the content of that data could be saved by grabbing the innerHTML and saving it to local storage. That data would then be retrieved when the Hype widget is loaded.

Although, is this necessary? iBooks has the ability to create notes.

thanks for this. I’ll take a look.

We do use the note option that the iBooks offer as you mentioned, but we have many pages within the iBook that do not contain any text, there are pictures, animations and many other widgets.
