Video Tutorials: Testing your Tumult Hype Documents on Chrome, Windows, iOS and Android

When you build your Tumult Hype document on a scene, you’re essentially seeing how it will look in Safari on a Mac. Tumult Hype’s built in scene editor is based on Webkit, which is the underlying rendering engine for Safari. Fonts, advanced techniques like CSS filter effects, and other aspects of your Tumult Hype document may look different on different browsers and devices. To make sure your document looks great everywhere, test early and test often.

The videos below demonstrate how to test your Tumult Hype document on Android, iOS, Mac Browsers, and within a Virtual Machine (Windows).

I’ve shared more services that help you test your designs after the videos.

iOS and Hype Reflect (iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches)

Safari on the Mac & Using Developer Tools to Diagnose issues:

On Windows using VMWare and a Virtual Machine

Android’s Chrome Browser

While you won’t get the same performance as you would running a Virtual Machine (or the actual browser) services like Browserstack can simulate browsers, and screenshot services such as Litmus can help you identify design issues. You can test how your responsive design looks on different devices using Screenfly.
