As per the title, is this possible? My scenario is that I have been producing a lot of courses in hype for a client but some if their info is best delivered live (currently through zoom). Just thinking ahead and wondered if a web/live stream could be embedded.

You can absolutely embed a live video in Hype: Typically this is done by embedding a Youtube embed code, but any live streaming service will give you an iframe embed code which you could place within the inner HTML of a regular Hype rectangle.
If you are hoping to maintain the live meeting format, you could take a look at https://meet.jit.si/ -- which lets you embed a meeting.
