When I import a sound (mp3,wav, etc") and I put it in the layout All get is a button and I want a sound wave that plays when the play head gets to the sound in an specific part of the timeline!

no preview built in. there are a few workarounds diskussed in the forum. you may do a search ...
basically load the audio in a videoeditor and paste a corresponding waveform there. export and place the video in hype -> preview
