I request the feature of being able to define external data sources, such as a mySQL data base, access it via php and run some calculations and change the appearance of text within a Hype Document.

Thanks for your feature request. For now, here’s a technique for accessing mysql content via PHP: AJAX/PHP DB Query within Hype. There are also a few other example you may be able to adapt here.
