Problems with the Record function

Has anyone else had issues with the record button?

When I click it, it flashes red but will not hold on the record for me to animate!

Also just noticed the animation tab to edit the ease in and out pops up and disappears straight away!

Can you take a screencast so we can see what you’re seeing? Use Quicktime, and select File > New Screen Recording.

That’s very strange – can you reinstall Hype and restart your computer?

I recommend the following steps:

If you originally purchased from the App Store:

  1. Do a Spotlight search in the menu bar for Hype, choose “Show All”
  2. Move all the found copies of Hype to the trash
  3. Empty the trash
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Open the App Store, go to the Purchased tab at the top
  6. Click Install for Hype. Open Hype and Select Upgrade > Restore Purchases

If you purchased from the Tumult store:

  1. Do a Spotlight search in the menu bar for Hype, choose “Show All”
  2. Move all the found copies of Hype to the trash
  3. Empty the trash
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Download Hype from http://tumult.com/hype/download
  6. Insert your license information. Select Upgrade > Restore Purchases

Still no joy!

Is there a fix for this yet as it is really annoying that I can not use this programme I have paid for!

Another massive issue now!

I have removed Hype and all associated files. When i download hype again from the mac app store it is the basic version, I go to install the pro and it tries to charge me again!!

And the record button still not working!!

As long as you have already purchased Hype on your original ID, you won't be charged again. Click Upgrade > Restore purchases to get Hype Pro enabled again.

I'm sorry you're hitting this issue.

Could you please make sure you have all available Mac OS updates? If that doesn't resolve the issue, could you please submit an issue from within Hype, using Help > Report an Issue? Please ensure that the "Send logs, preferences, and system information" checkbox is checked. This will help us determine why the record button is not working correctly.

Still have same issue. I have sent over the Report.
