Persistent symbol background transition

Hi all!

I need a background element to continuously animate across a few scenes and the transitioning between scenes is done with a crossfade. Everything else seems to crossfade OK, except the animated background which is a persistent symbol. It seems to pop to the front of all the other elements and not be affected by the crossfade.

Is there a workaround to have a positionally moving background across scenes and still keep a crossfade transition?
I found a few other similar posts here but with no workaround.

If you enter the persistent symbol and uncheck ‘Display on top during scene transition’ in the Symbol Inspector and also check ‘Make background transparent’ in the Document Inspector you’ll have the desired result.

Not sure how I didn’t find that checkmark on my own. :slight_smile:
